Where on earth are you?

I am based in the beautiful West Yorkshire in a little place called Saltaire, a step away from the Dales, and a foot away from major cities and easily accessible by train and car, bike and foot.

Do we meet before the shoot?

I always make sure I meet people quite a while before a shoot, and have a consultation at your house, or in a café, or at your business, or via skype if you live too far away. We will talk through the process, but most importantly I want to listen to your story and find out what you would dream of having on your walls, or in your album, or heirloom box.

This is also part of the process before a commercial shoot too.

How much do people invest?

My clients invest between £600 and £1600 on their bespoke photography and products.

What if I am or my child is ill?

If you or your child are ill I will happily reschedule, like-wise if I am ill we will reschedule.

Do you do gift vouchers?

I certainly do! They make fantastic gifts for people. You can choose between a photoshoot voucher, and a mentoring one, or I could create your own bespoke voucher. Please do contact me for more details.

What's in your camera bag?

In my camera bag, though not all at the same time, you’ll find:

Nikon D800, Nikon D300, Hasselblad 500cm, Mamiya Poloroid 600, various little instant film cameras – I love them.Holga, Diana
Lenses and lights lots of them but mainly primes.
Primes (NIKON) 135mm, 85mm 1.4, 50mm 1.4 , 35mm 1.4
Zooms (Nikon) 70 – 200mm 2.8
Lensbaby
Lights – Bowens system, Ice Light, and Natural light
and Super 8 camera for filming with real film, and various video cams

Do you travel?

Travel – I love it!

I am happy to travel for shoots, and have done photo-shoots in America, Italy, South Africa, The Isles of Scilly, The Highlands of Scotland as well as locally. Travel expenses are on top of the shoot fee, unless I happen to be in your area at the time.

Are there any guarantees?

I guarantee you will have a really special experience and end up with fantastic and personal photographic art ready to display in your home.

What happens if it rains or the weather is awful?

If it is pouring down on a location shoot I am happy to reschedule. I want you to have the most amazing photographs, so will bend over backwards to achieve this for you.

What do we wear?

In our consultation we will go through clothing choices and ideas. I am happy to help you are every point of the process.

Do you sell digital files?

I don’t sell digital files unless it is a commercial photoshoot, headshot shoot, an elopement or as part of a special package. I believe strongly in having your photographs printed beautifully for you to keep, and pass down the generations. However I will happily give you a small file of the image for each picture you buy, and some packages include all the digital files as well as products.
